• What product ranges does Golf Ice Cream offer specifically for the Horeca sector?
How do these products differ from those in other markets?
At Golf Ice Cream, we categorize our product groups into impulse, take-home, and out-of-home consumption. Our impulse products are sold individually, making them convenient for consumers to purchase and consume at any location where they want to eat ice cream. Our take-home products, on the other hand, are sold in liters or "multi-packs," typically shared by individuals within a household. Our out-of-home consumption products are sold as "open ice cream" in restaurants and cafes. While our products are fundamentally divided into these three groups, they are further categorized into Premium, economic segment, and children's products. In this context, we offer our Golf and Golf Festival branded products in liters to the horeca sector. Furthermore, for the past nine years, Golf Ice Cream has been producing ice cream for Coldstone, a leading ice cream chain in the horeca sector. At Golf Ice Cream, we lead the sector with our Golf Rulokalp frozen product, specially developed for weddings, events, and celebrations. We also meet market needs with our Golf Catering Cup brand, offering individually portioned ice cream for use in the catering sector.
• How do you respond to the specific needs of your customers in the Horeca sector?
What methods do you use to identify these needs?
Since the day we were founded, Golf Ice Cream has been listening to our customers' demands and following trends and innovations in our sector. In line with this, we do our best to meet the needs of the businesses and brands we regularly work with in the food and beverage sector. Our biggest priority in fulfilling all our requests is to never compromise on quality. At Golf Ice Cream, we always strive to maintain high quality in our production.
In this context, by analyzing the demands from the sector in organizations such as weddings, events, and celebrations, we, as Golf Ice Cream, meet all the needs of the sector with our Golf Rolled Heart frozen cake product to facilitate presentations. In addition to ease of presentation, another advantage of our product being sliced is that, due to being pre-sliced, we contribute to the operational efficiency of the product with our zero-waste target. To meet these needs, we analyze demands from the field and customer feedback and develop solution-oriented and market-leading methods with our R&D department.
• What are your marketing and promotion strategies for the Horeca sector? What factors do you consider when developing these strategies?
Based on market feedback and our research, we support our customers throughout the entire serving process by supplying complementary products for our ice creams, such as cones, cups, cake stands, and ice cream scoops. Furthermore, considering seasonal conditions, we provide various visual materials such as umbrellas and display cabinets. In addition to all this, we offer our customers the advantage of in-store visual design and implementation support, reflecting the colorful and fun world of ice cream, at strategically important locations.
• How do you distribute your products to the Horeca sector? What challenges did you encounter in this process, and what solutions did you use?
Our ice creams, the most challenging product group to store and transport, are delivered to our customers' refrigerators without breaking the cold chain, thanks to our technological equipment. We support all of this with food safety training given to our distribution personnel within the scope of our training program managed under the leadership of our organizational development unit.
• How do you guarantee the quality and freshness of your ice cream products, specifically tailored to the Horeca sector?
We guarantee the quality and freshness of our products to our customers by taking measures such as placing our products in refrigeration cabinets immediately after leaving the warehouse to ensure the cold chain is not broken until they reach our customers' cabinets, and by performing periodic temperature checks in the vehicles and in the cabinets.
• Could you also provide information about your R&D activities and new product development processes?
R&D is a subject we highly value and focus on meticulously. We conduct our research and development under different headings such as product development, product improvement, supplier development, raw material development, packaging improvement and development, and university-industry collaboration project management. Our R&D team consists of 13 people and is divided into units: Product R&D, Packaging R&D, and Raw Material Supplier Development. As Türkiye's largest local ice cream producer, we have been striving to produce delicious ice creams developed by Turkish engineers in our Bursa and Kahramanmaraş factories for over 20 years. Thanks to our expert and competent staff, we are both one of the strongest players in the market and a brand that has earned the trust of our consumers. Therefore, as the Golf Ice Cream family, we prioritize efficiency and quality when developing our ice creams. We especially take care to bring products to the market that are suitable for the needs and consumption habits of all citizens living in our country.
In the Horeca sector, unlike the packaged ice cream world, we see a focus on variety in consumption. Accordingly, we dedicate our R&D efforts to combining classic flavors with various fruit and nut ingredients to offer consumers different tastes. Another important point is our focus on developing products tailored to specific occasions. For example, we prioritize more traditional flavors for hotels in regions with developed cultural tourism, while for hotels in coastal areas with widespread sea tourism, we develop more refreshing, fruity, and diverse flavors.
